Raisers offer free legal seminar for ranchers
FORT
WORTH, Texas, January 18, 2007–A
free legal seminar will be held Friday, March 23, 2007, in conjunction
with Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association's 130th annual
convention in Fort Worth.
Attorneys from Jackson
Walker, LLP will provide a valuable opportunity to learn about laws that
affect rural landowners and agriculture operations. Application for CLE
credit is pending.
The agenda includes legal
updates relating to margin tax issues for ranchers; water law;
employment; manure as a hazardous waste on the ranch; eminent domain;
and oil, gas and wind leases from the landowner perspective.
