Range Stewardship and Stockmanship Clinic brings rain and education
On May 11, north central Texas ranchers had big smiles when they received over 2.5 inches of rain in the morning. Their good humor continued throughout the day as they attended an informative rangeland management and stockmanship clinic and were served a great chuckwagon lunch. More than 85 ranchers participated in a ranching clinic held in Bowie, Texas, that focused on range stewardship, effective stockmanship, including low stress cattle handling methods and range monitoring techniques. The Texas Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and Texas AgriLife Extension hosted the clinic. pictures and more
