Elected 2008-2009 TSCRA officers and board members Members of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association elected officers for 2008-2009 during their 131st annual convention recently held in Corpus Christi. Jon Means of Van Horn was re-elected as president, G. Dave Scott of Richmond as first vice president, and Joe Parker Jr. of Byers as second vice president. more
Great turnout for Tilden membership gathering
TSCRA had a great turnout for the Tilden membership gathering April 10, with about 100 attendees. 13 new members joined the association, with many more taking home applications. more

Texas crop, weather, (4-16-08) Texas AgriLife Extension Service agents from across the state report that whether there was rain or no rain, the high price of nitrogen fertilizer and diesel fuel are a dark cloud on the horizon for many producers. Many AgriLife Extension districts received rain, while others still suffered from dry and windy conditions. more
