Agriculture's guide to exporting live cattle to Mexico The
Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has created a guide to help in
highlighting livestock exporting procedures found on the USDA Web site
and to assist all exporters of live cattle into Mexico. The exporting
procedure has recently changed, so the guide is to ensure a smooth
process in selling and export south of the border. more
Success at OB Ranch member gathering Nearly 200 folks
attended the TSCRA ranch gathering at the OB Ranch in Wharton April 10, making the
event a whopping success! 26 new members joined TSCRA, along with eight student
members, plus two who renewed their memberships. Many more picked up
applications. more

on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) concerning the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) project

TDA Market recap, (4-12-08) For the week ending
April 12, 2008, feeder cattle prices at Texas auctions were from $6 per
hundredweight higher to $6 lower, with the average for 500-600 pound steers up
$1.23. Seasonally lower numbers offered for sale are helping to support the
market, especially for higher-quality cattle. Fed cattle prices were higher. more
