Groundbreaking held for new home of Cattle Raisers Museum
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Nov. 27 for the new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, which will house the Cattle Raisers Museum. The $60-million, 135,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility, in the heart of the Fort Worth Cultural District is expected to open in the fall of 2009. more
 

Government revising plan on illegals
The government says it will rewrite rules for penalizing employers of illegal immigrants to try to satisfy a federal judge in San Francisco who put the crackdown on hold. more
 

Beef and pork production surge
Combined beef and pork production in October was 4.586 billion pounds, 558 million pounds or 10 percent larger than a year ago. The surge in production during October was one of the largest this decade. more
 

Texas crop and weather report, 11-27-07
Some moisture fell over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend across the state, but more is needed for pastures and wheat crops and to abate the threat of wildfires. more
