hormones produces less greenhouse emissions
Pound-for-pound, beef produced with grains and growth hormones
produces 40 percent less greenhouse gas emissions and saves
two-thirds more land for nature compared to organic grass-fed beef
say analysts with Hudson Institute's Center for Global Food Issues.

Imports of
Canadian cattle increase sharply
Weekly imports of Canadian cattle have increased sharply this fall
and on Nov. 17 they were at the highest point for the year.

Cash feeder steer prices at Texas auctions were lower in very light
holiday week trading. Cash fed cattle prices were up $2.48 per
hundredweight from the previous week as higher beef values carried
over to the live cattle market.
