TSCRA Special Ranger Tommy Johnson, district 27, was severely injured at a practice roping near Victoria, Texas, on Nov. 30, 2007. A fund-raising event to benefit Johnson's medical expenses has been announced for Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Muldoon's Saloon & Steak House, in El Campo, Texas. more
 

Ethanol growth may outpace corn supply this year
The ethanol industry's appetite for corn will surge in the coming months and producers will likely lower corn acreage for the 2008 crop, according to a Purdue University expert. more
