Forage seminar readies
producers for spring growing season
Texas AgriLife Extension Service will
conduct a forage seminar beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2008, in the
First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas.
Five Texas Department of Agriculture

forage to meet their production goals.
These strategies will include management
techniques on existing Bermuda grass pastures as well as native pasture.
Topics will include basic forage and soil sampling management, forage
production economics, Bermuda grass management, and native and improved
grass variety selection.
The seminar is being presented by the AgriLife Extension offices in
Brown, Callahan, Coleman and Eastland counties.
Individual pre-registration, which includes lunch, is $5 by Feb. 1 and
$10 thereafter. For more information, call the AgriLife Extension office
in Callahan County at 325/854-5835.
