Benefit for TSCRA Special
Ranger Tommy Johnson announced
TSCRA
Special Ranger Tommy Johnson, district 27, was severely injured at a
practice roping near Victoria, Texas, on Nov. 30, 2007. Witnesses
reported seeing Johnson's horse spook and throw him, resulting in
serious injuries that have kept him hospitalized at Houston's Herman
Memorial Hospital in critical condition since the accident.
Johnson's prognosis is still guarded due to the nature of his injuries,
but family, friends and co-workers are praying for his recovery.
A
fund-raising event to benefit Johnson's medical expenses has been
announced for Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Muldoon's Saloon & Steak House,
110 W. Railroad in El Campo, Texas. The evening begins at 4:00 p.m. and
will include dancing, a stew supper, an auction and a drawing. All
profits go to the "Every Day Heroes" Tommy Johnson Sr. Benefit Fund.
