Drop predicted in Australian beef exports
Australian beef exports to
Japan and Korea are predicted to drop this year by 5 percent if the
protocols on U.S. beef are relaxed. Australia has been a key
exporter to these countries since 2003, when the U.S. was suspended
from the Japanese and Korean markets.

Checkoff "checkup" receives clean bill of health
Random
telephone interviews were conducted with a representative sample of
1,225 beef and dairy producers nationwide to determine their
awareness of, attitudes toward, and concerns about the program. The
study found that producers continue to have very favorable attitudes
toward the beef checkoff program.
