Drop predicted in Australian beef exports
Australian beef exports to Japan and Korea are predicted to drop this year by 5 percent if the protocols on U.S. beef are relaxed. Australia has been a key exporter to these countries since 2003, when the U.S. was suspended from the Japanese and Korean markets. more
 

Checkoff "checkup" receives clean bill of health
Random telephone interviews were conducted with a representative sample of 1,225 beef and dairy producers nationwide to determine their awareness of, attitudes toward, and concerns about the program. The study found that producers continue to have very favorable attitudes toward the beef checkoff program. more
 

Grazing and wildlife management clinic set for Feb. 22
Landowners and managers interested in learning how to maximize their grazing and wildlife will have an opportunity on Friday, Feb. 22 at the Jim Wells County fairgrounds' women's building in Alice. Admission is $10 and includes lunch. Seating is limited. more
