Fear
busters: knowledge and planning
TSCRA is partnering with
the King Ranch Institute of Ranch Management and Texas AgriLife
Extension Service (TAES) to give ranchers a starting place for their
ranching business plan and offering tools to make ranching less
intimidating and more interesting. The 14th School for
Successful Ranching, Mar. 14-15, at the American Bank Center in
Corpus Christi, will take the mystery out of ranch management and
provide students with the knowledge to pick the right tools for
them.

Consumers
can and will pay more for food
U.S. consumers have enjoyed steady to declining food prices, at
least in real terms, for many years. That's according to Bill Lapp,
President of Advanced Economic Solutions, who says those good times
for American food consumers are over, most likely forever.

2008 National Women in
Agriculture Educators Conference set for April 1-2
The goal of this conference is to
broaden risk management educational programming for women in
agriculture, to encourage new programming efforts, and to strengthen
existing programs.
