The Senate has brought the 2007
Farm Bill to the floor for consideration; amendment votes are
expected tomorrow. Please make a final push of calls to your
senators and urge them to oppose the Tester, Harkin, Grassley and
Enzi anti-marketing choice amendments!

Texas House
committees to study issues concerning Cattle Raisers
Texas Speaker of the House
Tom Craddick has released his interim committee charges for study
and report before the next session of the Texas Legislature convenes
in January 2009.

Silence is
deafening on beef hormone report
"Pound-for-pound,
beef produced with grains and growth hormones produces 40 percent
less greenhouse gas emissions and saves two-thirds more land for
nature compared to organic grass-fed beef." Given the current public
interest in global climate change, you would think this would be big
news. But it hardly made a ripple in the environmental community or
