K-State: Feeding
distiller’s grains causes E. coli to spike
Testing has shown the
prevalence of E. coli 0157 is about twice as high in cattle
fed distiller's grain compared with those cattle that are fed a diet
lacking the ethanol byproduct.

Group files suit
to stop proposed area wind farms
A nine-member environmental group, which includes the politically
powerful Armstrong and King ranches, filed suit Tuesday demanding it
be allowed to intervene in and possibly stop construction of two
giant wind farms in Kenedy County.
