NCBA: Washington December outlook
Congress returned from recess
Dec. 3 and will be in Washington for the next three weeks in hopes
of finishing up several key pieces of legislation. While a lot
remains uncertain, NCBA has provided an outline of what they expect
to happen this month.

Most recalled meat is never recovered, likely is eaten
For
73 meat recalls this year and last, recovery rates per recall
averaged 44 percent, a new analysis shows. But for five recalls that
followed reports of consumer illness, recovery rates per recall
averaged just 20 percent.

TCEQ to host meeting on Leon River
water quality
The Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality will host a public meeting Dec.
12 to update stakeholders on the status of the Leon River Total
Maximum Daily Load for bacteria.
